Staff bio

Kristina Zufall is an LPC-intern supervised by Amy Rollo, LPC-S. Kristina received her M.Ed. in counseling at the University of Houston and her B.S. in psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She has extensive experience beginning in 2010 working with serious mental illness, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, psychotic disorders, acute suicidality. She also works with eating disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. Kristina has training in mental health first aid, applied suicide intervention strategies, and crisis prevention and intervention. She enjoys working with children, teens, and adults and employs a person-centered approach. She also works with couples using Gottman method principles. 

She is passionate about ending the stigma faced by those with eating disorders and mental illness.

She belongs to the professional organizations of American Association of Counselors, Houston Eating Disorder Specialists, and Eating Disorder Hope.
