Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Hi, I’m Abbey, a therapist who works with children, teens, and women navigating life’s challenges and transitions. Whether I’m engaging in play therapy with a young child, supporting a teen through a big life change, or helping an adult woman reconnect with herself, I bring warmth, empathy, and practical tools into every session. I believe therapy should feel safe, supportive, and empowering, and I’m here to walk alongside you or your child with compassion and care.
Fun Facts or Personal Note
Outside of work, you'll find me playing with my four-year-old toy Aussiedoodle, Ollie, or curled up with a good psychological thriller. I love balancing deep work in the therapy room with quiet, cozy moments of rest and reading.
What Clients Can Expect
My approach is compassionate, developmentally attuned, and tailored to meet clients where they are in their unique journeys. Across all ages, I aim to provide a warm, supportive space where clients can feel seen, understood, and empowered. I blend structure with flexibility and always center the client’s emotional safety and needs.
Strengths as a Therapist
One of my biggest strengths is building genuine, trusting relationships with clients across all ages. I bring patience, curiosity, and care to the therapy space—whether I’m using creative, play-based interventions with young children or offering reflective insight and tools for teens and adults. I’m especially attuned to relational and emotional needs and bring a steady, nonjudgmental presence into each session.
Ideal Client
My ideal clients are children, adolescents, and women navigating life’s transitions. I predominantly work with young children, helping them process big emotions, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen their sense of safety and connection—often through play-based or developmentally appropriate approaches. I also enjoy working with teens, especially those in transitional phases like graduating high school or preparing for college, who are exploring their identities and seeking direction. In addition, I find meaningful work in supporting adult women facing life changes, stress, or self-discovery.
Treatment Approaches
I use an integrative, client-centered approach tailored to each individual’s developmental stage and therapeutic goals. My work draws from:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Play Therapy (with young children)
Mindfulness-Based Practices
Nervous System Regulation Techniques
I also regularly involve parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process when working with children. By collaborating with families, I help strengthen communication, reinforce skills at home, and create a more connected, supportive environment for the child.
