Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Hi, I’m Richele.
I am a trauma-informed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who brings empathy, clinical insight, and real-life experience into the therapy room. I work with individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds, offering a supportive and collaborative space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
My clinical passions include helping couples strengthen communication and emotional connection, supporting women as they heal from emotionally damaging or abusive relationships, and working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions. I take a systemic approach to therapy, understanding individuals within the context of their relationships, family systems, and lived experiences. When clients request it, I am also able to integrate Biblical counseling into sessions in a respectful and clinically appropriate way.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our four daughters, two granddaughters, and our dog, Sweetpea. I love reading, decorating, crafting, dancing, traveling, and being near the beach. I believe joy, curiosity, and connection with others are essential to both personal healing and effective therapy.
What Clients Can Expect
Clients can expect a compassionate, authentic, and grounded therapeutic relationship from the very beginning. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where your story is met with respect, curiosity, and care. I meet clients where they are, honoring their strengths while gently helping them explore patterns, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include a calming presence, thoughtful reflection, practical tools, a touch of appropriate humor, or a clear and supportive plan forward. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling understood, hopeful, and equipped with insights and skills they can apply in their daily lives.
Strengths as a Therapist
I am known for building strong, trusting relationships with clients, particularly adolescents and young adults. I work confidently with couples and families, creating an environment where all voices feel heard and valued. My style is warm, emotionally attuned, and direct when helpful. I often use relatable analogies and practical strategies to help clients translate insight into meaningful change outside the therapy room.
Ideal Client
My ideal client is ready for change and willing to engage in the therapeutic process. I work best with individuals, couples, and families who are open, motivated, and committed to personal growth. I especially connect with adolescents, young adults, couples, and families experiencing conflict or disconnection, and women healing from emotionally harmful or controlling relationships.
Treatment Approaches
My trauma-informed work integrates evidence-based and systemic approaches, including:
Structural Family Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Narrative Therapy
Gottman Method for Couples
Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation Strategies
Strengths-Based and Practical Skill Building
Treatment is always tailored to each client’s unique needs, with an emphasis on long-term healing, clarity, and sustainable change.
