Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Hello! I’m Trisha, a client-centered therapist who loves working with a variety of clients who want better for themselves and are open to trying new approaches. I believe there’s good in all of us—and that peace is something we’re all worthy of cultivating.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 18 years in education, serving in roles that helped me understand the unique needs of children, teens, and families. I earned my B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Houston and two Master’s degrees—one in Educational Leadership and the other in Counseling and Development—from Lamar University.
Outside of sessions, I’m a pastor’s wife who loves singing and spending time with my family. My background as an educator, stepmom, and wife helps me connect with clients across all walks of life, and I bring warmth and calmness to each session to ensure you feel safe and supported from the start.
What Clients Can Expect
You can expect a safe and inviting space where we work together to explore your needs, challenges, and strengths. I offer tools and strategies that match your stage of life and therapy goals—whether it’s emotional regulation, communication, or navigating transitions. I meet each client where they are and help them grow from there, with a strong belief in their ability to heal and thrive.
Strengths as a Therapist
I’m known for being solution-oriented, supportive, and highly relatable. I’m confident in using CBT and emotion-focused strategies, and I connect especially well with children, teens, and families. I support clients in improving communication, emotional regulation, and connection within themselves and in their relationships.
Ideal Client
I enjoy supporting elementary students (3rd grade and up), adolescents, teens, adults, couples, and families. I work well with individuals at any stage of life and value creating strong therapeutic relationships across age groups and dynamics.
Treatment Approaches
I use an integrative and collaborative approach that blends:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Mindfulness Techniques
Solution-Focused Therapy
Strengths-Based Approaches
Play-Based and Narrative Therapy (with children)
