Let’s Get to Know Each Other
Hi, I’m Tyler! I’m a practicum student counselor who started at Cy-Hope Counseling in 2021 as an Intake Specialist. I am honored to have grown alongside clients and transition into my current role. I’m a trauma-informed counselor who believes healing happens when you feel truly seen and supported. I show up with compassion, deep empathy, and a sense of humor that helps make the hard moments a little more bearable. My goal is to create a space where you can discover the strength you already have to navigate life’s challenges.
Outside of sessions you’ll find me connecting with nature and wildlife. When I feel like staying indoors I often read, watch my favorite streamers, or play video games. I also have a couple of rabbits that I treat as my own children.
What Clients Can Expect
In session, I take a compassionate, client-centered approach that promotes growth and resilience. I believe in meeting clients where they are, creating a safe space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to face life’s stressors. I also incorporate creativity into the therapeutic process. Helping clients explore new perspectives, the ability to express themselves, and engage with their emotions in meaningful ways.
Strengths as a Therapist
I am a trauma-informed counselor who connects easily with clients through warmth, humor, and a genuine, down-to-earth approach. I enjoy creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, while also helping you challenge unhelpful thoughts in a supportive environment.
Ideal Client
I enjoy working with clients who have experienced trauma, are grieving, or are part of families affected by addiction. I also support caregivers who are navigating the challenges of caring for a loved one, offering a space to process their emotions and find balance.
